You should probably be working instead of reading this. We have nothing to say that has not been said better by someone else. We have no insight that is deeper than what God has already revealed. We are fools for Christ sake and perfectly comfortable with the fact that it's considered nutty to be a Christian these days. If you find anything of value here consider it the Providence of God.

Reaction to Lamott

Al Mohler has posted an excellent essay in response to Lamott's morbid perspective.

I liked this essay and response to the article in the LA Times. I have wondered if Anne Lamott's views on abortion/death and other things don't stem somehow from the abortions she has had in the past.

I know other women who have had abortions in the past and they seem to have gone a little haywire emotionally. These women seem to prefer a god that is very touchy feely and hate what they think of as the harsh, calvinistic view of God.

What is aggravating, of course,is that Miss Lamott has made up her own god and named him Christ, adding to the noise and confusion about who God is.
